| 7 Mile run today, freakin' awesome...Weak Sauce of the Day: 4 hour group meeting. Mad props to my group members though, you guys rock. Hot Shit of the Day: the run mapper. Seriously, check it out because it blew my effin' mind!...And by the way, the Bears are still winning. That's right Wallace, Kyle Orton will lead us to the promise land...Finally, Happy Birthday to Jay-Z. You are old but you still spit mad rhymes...Get that dirt off your shoulder...
Tomorrow: AFA, Bond, More tax!
| I'm amazed at how fast the weather can go from decent to crappy. Seriously, I walked to class with my coat unzipped and the bank thermometer reading 45. Five hours later my eyes are watering from the cold and I can see my breath, crazy...I think we've entered the part of the year where we don't see the sun for weeks. And when it does come out it reflects off the snow and you can't see anything...Weak Sauce: weird smells and cigarette smoke, everywhere. It seemed like no matter where I went today something smelled funny. I'm pretty sure it wasn't me...Hot Shit: IMU wraps and Tony passing the Series 6. Mad props go out to Tony for becoming a licensed insurance sales man. I can't wait for the sales calls...Bad news for my GPA, I dug Tony Hawk 2 out and I'm going to play it until my Dreamcast melts...Juice these hoes, juice these hoes...
Tomorrow: Sleeping; Running; Tax!
| 6 mile run...Running in the rain is one of the most enjoyable things I can think of. Especially when it's a nice warm day out...It's amazing to me how calming a long run can be. Plus, you may be surprised where you find yourself. Did you know there is a path that runs behind the Dairy Queen on Riverside? Or that there are no sidewalks on the north side of Highway 6? I learned that today...I also discovered a new found love for my Ipod. It makes me happy that I can listen to a playlist consisting of Snoop Dogg ('Smoke Weed Everyday'), AC/DC ('Thunderstruck'), The Crystal Method ('Name of the Game'), among others no matter where I am. I may be miles from my apartment but I always know Fall Out Boy will be there with me...
Tomorrow: Double class, My ultimate playlist
| So I haven't updated this since the summer but I feel that I must share my newest discovery. Check out: Party Ben's Website. Some DJ does mixes of random songs and some of them are actually pretty good. For even more mash-ups look at Sixx Mixx. The mixes run about 30 minutes long and there is a link to another page with all the past mixes available for download. Seriously, who doesn't love a NIN/50 Cent mash-up? Hit up the website it's hella sweet and maybe I'll try to blog more often, but I can't promise anything. | | |
| It was once said there is no such thing as bad publicity. After this week in sports I'm starting to wonder just how true that is...Aside from the usual string of NFL holdouts we now have the pleasure of watching the T.O. drama unfold. T.O. is one of the most dyanmic receivers of all time but after he is dismissed from traning camp the question has to be asked: is he really worth the trouble? The easy answer in the case of Philly is yes because they lack any other experienced targets for Donavan McNabb. However, when one player is able to disrupt a team as thoroughly and frequently as T.O. Philly would probably be better off cutting him loose. With that kind of pub which other NFL team is willing to put itself in a similar position?...Kenny Rogers returned from a suspension today after the original duration was shortened by an arbitrator. The real hit here is not against Rogers but commissioner Bud Selig. Suddenly he is put in a position where any of his rulings have the potential of being overruled. Of course this won't stop him from pushing a stricter steroid policy but it does question how much respect is left for the commish... Rafael Palmeiro, I don't think I really need to say anything else about this one...Finally, since ESPN loves to keep the Yankees and the Red Sox in the spotlight we are treated to more info about them then any other team. This includes after game interviews where Joe Torre is questioned by owner George Steinbrenner about pitching decisions. Don't feel too bad George they were playing the best team in baseball...After seeing this kind of drama unfold it almost makes me happy the rest of the nation has ignored the White Sox...By the way Sports Illustrated, thanks again for once again underrating the Hawkeyes, we'll see you in January. | | |
